- Reuse the factory mass-airflow sensor and airbox mounting grommet.
- Inspect the filter and all connections regularly. Clean and re-oil the cotton element with the K&N service products specified for this filter; dusty conditions can require earlier service. Follow the part-specific instructions, including sensor, hose and factory-hardware transfer steps. Recheck clearances and fasteners after installation. Transfer the MAF sensor into the supplied adapter and orient its airflow arrow correctly. Reconnect the crankcase vent tube; check clearance and all connections before starting. Inspect the filter every 25,000 miles; clean and re-oil sooner in dusty conditions. Power and torque figures are K&N estimates from its test vehicle; results vary with the vehicle and configuration.
