Before you choose Brakes
Brake upgrades are about heat and consistency, not just the biggest caliper. Pads, fluid, rotors, lines, tire grip, and wheel clearance all matter, and the right setup depends on whether the car is commuting, canyon driving, autocrossing, or running full sessions.
Solve the heat problem
Street driving, autocross, and full track sessions put very different heat into the brakes. Buy for the hardest repeatable use.
Bite, noise, dust, and wear
More temperature capability can mean more noise, dust, rotor wear, or poor cold behavior. Pad choice is often the first useful change.
Check clearance and balance
Confirm rotor and caliper fit, wheel templates, pad availability, fluid condition, lines, tire grip, and how the change affects brake balance.
